Vintage red cased crystal glass vase produced by VEB Kunstglas Ilmenau in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) during the 1970s.
Manufactured in Ilmenau, Thuringia, one of East Germany's most important glassmaking centers, this vase is crafted in heavy crystal using the cased glass (Überfangglas) technique. The vibrant red inner layer is encased in clear crystal, creating remarkable depth, rich color, and striking optical effects.
