A set of six Jena Glass tea cups with matching saucers, made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass by Schott & Gen, Mainz. They distil the minimalist philosophy of East German (GDR) design.
Borosilicate glass was developed for the laboratory and became iconic in German modern tableware for its resistance to thermal shock. Lightweight, durable and perfect for tea, infusions or coffee, with the colour of the drink left beautifully visible.
