The 'Borneo' ashtray, designed by Enzo Mari in 1967 for Danese Milano, one of the most influential Italian design houses of the 20th century. Made of black melamine resin, it distills Mari's idea of essential, functional design with a strong sculptural presence.
Conceived as an ashtray, it works just as well as a desk accessory or a small catch-all tray, a piece of Italian Radical Modernism for a contemporary interior.
