A charming articulated snake, hand-carved from wood and built to move like the real thing. The segmented body bends and curls, giving the piece a lively, almost living presence.
Hand-painted with expressive facial features and decorative patterns, it most likely comes from South America, around the 1980s, in the best tradition of folk-art craft.
